Dupixent Side Effects 

Dupixent (dupilumab) may cause various side effects. If you experience signs of an allergic reaction to Dupixent, such as hives, rash, itching, fever, swollen glands, joint pain, feeling lightheaded, or difficulty breathing, seek emergency medical help immediately.

Serious side effects of sanofi Dupixent that require immediate medical attention include:

1. Eye problems: This may include new or worsening eye problems like eye pain or changes in vision, such as blurred vision. Your healthcare provider may refer you to an ophthalmologist for an eye exam if necessary.
2. Inflammation of blood vessels: In rare cases, people with asthma who receive Dupixent may experience inflammation of their blood vessels. This can occur when individuals taking a steroid medicine by mouth have their dose reduced or stopped. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you notice a rash, chest pain, worsening shortness of breath, a feeling of pins and needles or numbness in your arms or legs, or persistent fever.
3. Joint aches and pain: Some individuals may have difficulty walking or moving due to joint symptoms and, in severe cases, may require hospitalization. Inform your healthcare provider about any new or worsening joint symptoms.

The most common side effects of sanofi Dupixent (dupilumab) include:

1. Pain, swelling, burning, or irritation at the injection site.
2. Dizziness.
3. Trouble sleeping (insomnia).
4. Toothache.
5. High counts of a certain white blood cell (eosinophilia).
6. Eye and eyelid inflammation: This can manifest as redness, swelling, itching, blurred vision, and pain.
7. Dry eyes or watery eyes.
8. Throat pain (oropharyngeal pain).
9. Cold sores or fever blisters on the lips or in the mouth.
10. Fast pulse.
11. Blood vessel inflammation.
12. Fever.
13. Chest pain.
14. Trouble breathing.
15. Skin rash, skin sores, or blisters.
16. Numbness or a prickly feeling in the arms or legs.
17. Stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
18. Cold symptoms such as a stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat.
19. Joint or muscle pain.
20. Parasitic (helminth) infections.

Additional side effects that have been reported with Dupixent (dupilumab) include:

1. Facial rash or redness.
